A true family cruiser!
Sailors in the Netherlands know that, unfortunately, it's not always 25 degrees Celsius with plenty of sunshine. The importance of a good balance between outdoor and indoor living on the boat is therefore crucial for sailing families with several children when choosing a new sailboat.
Standing height, spacious beds, ample seating, plenty of clever storage space, and above all, fast and comfortable sailing characteristics. This is what the new Oceanis 38.1 offers sailing families in a nutshell. See for yourself and come to Bruinisse, where we will be happy to show you this 'European Yacht of the Year'.
The press and public unanimously agree that the Beneteau Oceanis 38 is the rightful winner of the European Yacht of the Year award in the family cruiser category thanks to its progressive design and interior styling.
Beneteau Oceanis 38 'Sailing' Boat of the Year 2015
“In the 35- to 40-foot segment, there's a lot of the sameness. The concept Beneteau has presented with the Beneteau Oceanis 38 is a striking exception,” says editor Marinus van Sijdenborgh. “Developing something new in these times that continues to appeal to people, while simultaneously finding a way to connect sailors to Beneteau, is a remarkable achievement. That's why we awarded the Beneteau Oceanis 38 the title of Sailing Boat of the Year 2015. Congratulations, Beneteau!”
Sailors have often remarked that the Beneteau Oceanis 38.1 is a remarkably fast sailor. The balanced design with a modern hull shape, hard chine, centrally located mast, and dual rudders offers not only considerable boat speed but also excellent comfort thanks to the reduced heeling angle. This allows you to reef later than with many other models from previous generations. Renowned French designer Finot, who has been designing new models for Beneteau for years, is also responsible for this successful model.
