The brand-new Hallberg-Rassy 50 follows the great success of the 57, 44, 40C, and 340. Designed for effortless cruising, the new 50 offers a high level of comfort and ample storage. The Hallberg-Rassy 50 pushes the boundaries of what's possible up to 50 feet while remaining true to the classic Hallberg-Rassy principles.

Plenty of volume, comfort, and storage

Traditionally, we're used to comparing boats based on hull length in feet. However, the waterline length is far more relevant. The new 50 boasts a waterline that's a full 50 cm longer than the Hallberg-Rassy 55. A longer waterline provides improved sailing performance with longer average day runs while simultaneously increasing interior volume, comfort, and storage below deck. The beam is 33 cm longer at its widest point and an incredible 1.08 m wider than the Hallberg-Rassy 55 at the transom. This significantly improves interior volume and storage space.

Comfortable Seakeeping

The modern and highly efficient hull shape delivers superior sailing performance. The bow section of the hull is rounded, almost like an egg, ensuring comfortable seakeeping at any angle. The hull is designed to easily accommodate all modern comfort equipment, provide ample fuel capacity, and allow for the convenient transport of numerous personal belongings on board.

Large and Well-Protected Cockpit

Typical Hallberg-Rassy, ​​the cockpit is very well sheltered and offers a choice of a soft-top or hard-top windshield with tempered glass, an opening center section, and side handles. This is the ideal cockpit solution for both warm and cold environments. There is full all-round visibility, and the dual helms provide space for various displays and controls, as well as easy access from behind the helmsmen to the front. A large, fixed, high-gloss varnished teak table is available as an option.

Modern and easy-to-handle sail plan

The rig is modern and easy to handle. It's possible to carry a detachable heavy-weather sail without carts. The headsail is slightly overlapping, making tacking easy, and there's also an option for a self-tacking jib. Seldén electric furlers for both the roller-furling mainsail and headsail, as well as electric sheet winches, are fitted as standard. The mainsail is designed for a modern Elvström FatFurl roller-furling mainsail with an Epex membrane. The main and middle shrouds are mounted on separate fittings, a Hallberg-Rassy invention, which facilitates deck access and allows for easy trimming of the headsail. The wide spreaders guarantee a stable rig, and the deck plan is free of lines and very clear.

A major leap forward for effortless cruising with carbon in mast furling

Hallberg-Rassy and Seldén refine the concept of cruising by combining ease of use with high performance. Carbon in-mast furling takes push-button sailing to a whole new level. This setup minimizes heel angle and weather helm, improving upwind performance. The lighter mast also reduces pitching and pumping in rough and open seas. This all-carbon rig will provide a richer overall sailing experience.

Plenty of Deck Storage

Deck storage is generous! Not only is there a huge locker between the forward cabin and the anchor locker, but there are also two spacious lockers on the aft deck, one locker in the cockpit, and good storage for fenders and mooring lines above the anchor locker.

The steering system features dual rudders, superior in terms of control while sailing, pleasant vibration-free sailing, and safety.

Everything on One Level

The interior is on one level throughout the boat. This guarantees comfortable and safe navigation, both at sea, at anchor, or in a marina.

Light and spacious interior with ample storage space

The interior provides ample natural light through several large deck hatches and windows in the superstructure. Inside, there is ample direct and indirect LED lighting, which generates a considerable amount of warmth. Several dorades provide good ventilation throughout the boat. The layout is spacious, and the storage options are also generous. The refined woodwork has the renowned Hallberg-Rassy finish.

Various layouts are possible, such as an L-shaped galley or a longitudinal galley. The owner can opt for a center sleeper in the aft cabin or a double with a single berth. The forward cabin can be equipped with a French bed or a V-shaped bed. Alternative layouts are available upon request.

The standard equipment is extensive, including electric in-mast furling and electric headsail furling, high-quality sails, a teak deck, and a retractable Sleipner Side-Power bow thruster.
